Featuring the premiere of commissioned works from the two amazingly-talented young composers, Gyan Riley and Sam Adams (both the sons of very well-known and influential composers), a new commission from multi-talented Bay Area composer/guitarist John Schott, and the Seventh Avenue String Quartet performing the concert music premiere of Dreshers quartet, Time Passes, a work first heard in Dreshers acclaimed score for the Berkeley Repertory Theaters production of Adele Shanks adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s To The Lighthouse. Also on the program is the return of Ingram Marshalls atmospheric In Deserto (BlackRock), and Dreshers Double Ikat, a lyrical and luscious trio for violin, piano and percussion, a score with deep roots in the music of Indonesia and India.
