Virtuosos de Cámara returns to Puerto Vallarta in 2023 with a pair of concerts on Sunday, February 26 at 4:00 pm and Sunday, March 5 at 2:00 pm.
Violin & Video Arts on February 26th will feature highlights from Karen Bentley Pollick’s multimedia repertoire with offerings by Alabama composer Brian C. Moon, Lithuanian Zibuokle Martinaityte, Ukrainians Ludmila Yurina and Myroslav Skoryk, alongside videos created by Stuart Diamond, Aiste Ptakauske, Philip Van Keuren and Melissa Tran.

VIOLIN/PIANO & CELLO

Violin/Piano & Cello on March 5th will feature virtuoso cellist Dennis Parker joining Karen in duos for violin & cello plus a beloved set of cello short pieces with piano. Composers represented are Carlos Fariñas, Scott Howard Eggert, Erwin Schulhoff, Maurice Ravel, Maria Theresia von Paradis, Gabriel Fauré and George Rochberg.
The concert includes the Mexican premiere of “American Songbook Suite (Vol 1)” by Virtuoso de Cámara composer-in-residence John Henry Kreitler. The work is a re-imagining of four songs from the American Standards repertoire, combining contemporary classical and jazz styles.

A concert of string duos featuring Karen Bentley Pollick and Philip Brezina on violin. The program will include “Sonata Andalusia” by Virtuosos de Cámara composer in residence John Henry Kreitler, Bluegrass infused “Uncle Hokum’s Fiddle” arranged for two violins by Joel Phillip Friedman, “Rumba” by Dick Kattenburg, “Tango por una Cabeza” arranged by Augustin Hadelich, plus arrangements of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “E Major Preludio” and Camille Saint Saens’ “Dance Macabre” by Charles Morey for a memorable display of virtuosic fiddling.
Virtuosos de Cámara is a professional chamber music ensemble based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Our inaugural season was 2020.
